CFA Level II Preparation - Following a Schedule

Let me come to the point straight. I started the preparations for LII last year in September. Followed a schedule which aimed to complete the whole syllabus till 1st week of April this year. Old performance issues.. happens 1 out of 5, I was able to follow the schedule 80%. As per plan I focused more on the major areas like ethics, equity, fixed income, FRA, Corporate finance & derivatives & gave less time to other areas especially quants. It turned out right and I scored above 70 in these areas which proved ‘anti-fatal’. Schedule is a must in this regard. Every day you have an objective and you tend to nail it! A well enriched schedule must have slots for initial reading, revsion & scheduled quizzes. I was told by a friend who is seeking for the Charter that taking a day off doesn’t make you piss off. Unfortunately I realized it when I was having a burnout. Do make a day off! To sum up the first thing which really made a change was following a routine and tracking a schedule. It kinds of make you regular. Candidates of Level II and those who are planning to get enrolled must work now a days in forming a schedule and if you want to know which schedule I followed; visit my blog mentioned below.
