Won’t most people be at work on a tuesday 9 am?! If i skip work that day, it’ll be awkward when i come back because everyone will know why I missed it.. and if I check it while at work, I doubt i’d be able to contain myself (whether good or bad!)
What is everyone else doing?
I have coworkers that simply don’t check their results until they go home for the day.
I have also worked at a place where the senior MD’s and VP’s (who mostly all have their CFA charter), would congregate among the analyst cubicles and essentially pressure you to check your results. This was not cool.

Just checking my email on my phone like i have done before.
I will be away on holidays that week lol. I know I’ll be thinking about the results the few days before the release….

Our two managers (both Charterholders) usually pop some champagne later in the day when the results are released ……… not so much fun for those who have failed. Quite an uncomfortable atmosphere in the pit that day when everybody is asking if you passed or failed.
I check on Smartphones as well!
And I work in a place where nobody knows what it means to write CFA level 2 (you might as well ask me why I am working here :) )!
Why should somebody prepare for 6 months to take a test on 10 subjects, is the question I am encountered every now and then :S

Get a Blackberry n00bs, last year I was on vacation so didnt really matter, this year I’ll be recieving it at work, so either I’ll walk out of work like a boss, or it shall be an epic FAIL!! Taking my exam performance into consideration I don’t think there will be any celebrating this year… 26 days fellas stay strong
I’m taking off work. Last year I couldn’t even contain myself I was so stressed.
Fortunately, on the West coast, it’s a 6am wake up call, either way. Won’t even have to set the alarm.

Jump off a bridge I said. Anyone last year failing crushed me. I think I’ll deal with my fail much better this time. I learned a good bit, and feel confident I will slay the beast for good in 2013

It is already set up to come to my work.. but i think i’d rather pretend I have a doc apt or somethign and check it from my phone.. that way.. either jump off a bridge as was suggested by some or return w/ an obnoxious smile to work!
Ugh I checked at work last year, what a miserable day that was. When I got home I just started bawling, and drinking. Not looking forward to that again.

Tell everyone at work before hand that you are convince of your failure, then if you pass everyone will be surprised that you passed rather than disappointed and embarrased for you if you fail.
Got myself a nice bottle of johnny walker for the 24th. If I pass I’m gonna celebrate with a little glass. If I faill I’m gonna drink it all.
I had a co-worker that would always talk about never studying and never taking it seriously. When he passes, he acts all happy and surprised. When fails, he goes “yea I thought so”

The crazy part is when one is asked (on the CFA survey sent to random candidates) , “What will you do if you fail”? or something like that…
I’ll be at work with two friends who also took the exams, 1 took L1, 1 took L2, and we’ll all be watching our email and pretending to work. At least its something to do. Last year I just paced around my house waiting for the email.
I’m sure we’ll be going drinking that night, pass or fail.
^ True that. I have 2 co-workers that took L3 with me this year, and the 3 of us have already blocked out Aug 7th for drinks. because +result = drinking celebration, or -result = drinking to forget.

Last year I had everything to loose coz everybody at my family (including in laws’) were keeping a tab on my exam results. This year not every one is aware that I had sat for it in June’12. August 2011 came with many bad news. Me failing L3, wife got laid off from a company like Halliburton due to new projects deferral etc. So whole last year has been tough (financially, emotionally :( )
Hope this August will turn it around again (offcourse in a good way)! Keeping my fingers crossed. ^ - ^
Btn I too will check my result on phone, however it would be after 6 PM IST (due to time difference) on my way to home from work.

holy crap! This is friggin brutal!
I keep thinking.. what if they lost my exam? What if the machine froze and accidently ripped my paper?
Either way, I failed so it shouldn’t matter!

The horrible part, is that your co-workers secretly want you to fail. Your deepest friends and family will want you to pass, but co-workers will feel threatened that you worked so hard to try to be better. People that won’t make the sacrifice for whatever reason (lazy, fear of failure, unwilling to work so hard), they don’t want their co-workers putting in the time and passing and moving to better things and surpassing them.

Thankfully except my manager everybody else wants me to succeed. Including my clients in Scotland and the business folks in London. My coworkers were so accomodating taking up my pains to let me leave home on time to prepare.. Ive got a nasty manager to compensate for all the other good people around me :(
Visiting AF is similar to smoking! Everyday I tell myself, no I should not think about result and should not visit AF unless I want to discuss something other than result. But I end up doing it atleast 5-6 times over the day :( Thankfully visiting AF is not injurious to health, OR IS IT? :)

@ sooraj, Same here.. AF is on my screen at work as well at home.. I have never ever visited these forums so much !!! and now as the results are getting closer, Can’t stop thinking of it now and again :(
