Like the payout disagree with $25 for last place. Paying $50 to enter a league should be an incentive to actively participate and if someone doesn’t care about losing $50 then so be it.

^ Agree with ZeroBonus. Plus, how do you even enforce that? If you think of last year’s league, the players in the bottom of the standings stopped caring about their team towards the end of the season, and I haven’t even seen any posts from them on AF (maybe out of shame).

numi's picture

All right, that sounds good. Yeah, I agree that finishing last place in the AF league in and of itself is a career-limiting move anyway. We’ll just stick with the prize structure listed above then.

thommo77's picture

Agree $50 is incentive to participate. Numi is going down quicker than a $2 hooker in week 1.

Me voting for penalizing the last place finisher is a bit like a non-smoker voting to raise cigarette taxes.

ZeroBonus's picture

king kong I joined and paid. Lets make this a bit more interesting and have the payout set as winner takes all. lol

I haven’t looked at the league settings yet. Are we doing a snake or auction draft?

king_kong's picture

We’re doing a snake draft.

mar350, justin88, and lxwarr - please check the message board on the yahoo league page

Ok. I’m sorry about not doing vault yesterday when I got home I did not feel well. I wrote a note to myself so will be done later.

Stocks and Blondes's picture

Don’t like the idea of $25 penalty for last place and I don’t think you would be able to collect it.

Don’t follow NFL and not interested to join. But do want to know who won and the league standings from last year.

Update:

I know most of you are watching this thread in awe, waiting for the allstar manager, lxwarr30, to tell you who he drafted. Ladies and gentleman, no need to wait any longer, the results are in. With the last pick of the 2011 season, he was able to combine brute strength with lethal speed to compose what some already consider a masterpiece. I’ve heard the genius of these picks compared with Bach, Einstein and Mattise, but you can decide for yourself, I present you the lxwarr30s:

Darren McFadden
Maurice Jones-Drew
Philip Rivers
LeGarrette Blount
Marques Colston
Jeremy Maclin
Jimmy Graham
Santana Moss
New York Jets DEF
Eli Manning
Jordy Nelson
Nate Kaeding
Thomas Jones
Braylon Edwards
New Orleans DEF
Robert Meachem

shitt1est line up i have ever seen. Looks like a 5yr drafted this year

Not trying to be mean here but your team has some huge issues. Your top two players (McFadden and Jones-Drew) are very injury prone and will not make it through the season healthy. I am willing to bet both won’t make it through the season injury free.

I like LeGarrette and Philip a lot this year.

I don’t think that’s a championship team, but I think with a little luck regarding health it’s a strong playoff team.

OFFICIAL RELEASE:

Beat writer for the AF Pro League here. I just had the opportunity to sit down with the acclaimed manager, lxwarr30. We spoke about his team and his outlook for the season. A topic of concern I’ve heard expressed by many close to the league are rumors of injuries.

When asked for a comment he said jokingly, “I’m honored that our team has gained the buzz it has. We’re really excited to be one of the newest expansions in the league. This is a great organization and everyone is buying into our team’s culture. We’re looking forward to the competition. There are a lot of great teams in this league, some of whom have great mouths to match, but I will let the player’s actions speak.”

When asked to elaborate he declined. This only leaves me with more questions. Are his eyes bigger than his appetite? Can this team weather the season? Time will tell, but in all my years covering this league I have never seen this kind of fire and poise in a manager before.

Congrats on wasting 15 minutes of your life. In other news Tennessee signed CJ to a 4 year deal. Game on boys.
