Job experience required for CFA

Hi all, am new here… :slight_smile: Would like to seek your kind advice… Say if I’ve been working in a job for just over three years… and the job is investment related… however, I’ve been thinking of switching to another company… and to apply for CFA, I’ve to get the new boss to attest that I’ve the minimum required experience of four years… but he or she may not be willing to do so because he can’t possibly attest to what exactly I had done in the past. What should I do? Should I get a letter from the current employer outlining my job scope when I leave?
