IT Engineer, MBA in Finance, looking to opt for CFA Level II

Dear All,

I am currently pursuing MBA in Finance. I cleared CFA Level I in June 2015 examination post which I got recruited by one of the Big 4’s as a Technology Consultant. I have 2 years of work experience with IT MNC and Bachelors of Engineering in Information Technology.

I was contemplating on whether to continue with CFA Level II examination in June 2016.

Request your comments on the same.

Any help is appreciated. Cheers!

IIM/ISB or nothing.

For finance roles, I prefer hiring CFA over MBA or some related Masters degree.

Opt away.

I would prefer to stick to Tech Consultant job. Lot of room for growth in future.

your skill set and experience would also support you. But if you are the guy who likes to take risk then do it…

Yea why not… I hardly see CFA’s in IT consultancy…so things like CFA are regarded very highly in IT-Finance/Technology Finance as most of CFA’s try to go for core finance type of jobs…and most importantly it depends on your interest.

This is so confusing…

Stick to current job…banks are firing thousands of employees…

Sometimes I miss CvM. Just a little bit.

dont continue. stick to Indian IT.

Goes back to do an MBA in finance, still gets recruited into IT in an accounting firm. Maybe the universe is telling you something.

this could be my future…

What’s Indian IT?
