Linkedin - CFA Candidate

Hello,

I would like to mention on my Linkedin profile that I am a CFA Level 2 Candidate.

According to the Social Profile Guidance of the CFA Institute, candidates should mention their current status under the Education section.

However, in the Education section one fo the required fields is “School”.

What would you write in the School field? The other fields are Degree, Field of study, Grade, Activities and Societies and Description.

My guess is “CFA Institute” as the School and “Passed Level 1 of the CFA Program” or “2015 Level II Candidate in the CFA Program” in the Degree field.

Here’s the link to the CFA Institute Social Profile Guidance section: http://www.cfainstitute.org/community/social/Pages/profile.aspx

Kind regards,

If I recall, you are not supposed to refer to a CFA charter, candidacy, or any part of the program as a degree/school. Maybe, give CFAI a call or email for clarification if school is a necessary field.

That’s true, but if not, how may I include it under the Education section as suggested by the CFAI Social Profile Guidance?

I’m going to try to include it in such a way that in the profile the “School” is not included, i.e. that it only says “2015 Level II Candidate in the CFA Program”.

just put it under your summary section

^ the appropriate section is under Certifications. see the URL for guidance.
