Whats the big deal about FSA/FRA ?

Basically you just measure the right ratio regarding relevancy of the ratio to the problem,if you are a bank you measure the loan payback ability ,investor EPS,…

Its my assumption that there should be more qualitative material involved in this section,Am I right ?

Candidates frequently mention that they’re surprised at how little they use their calculators on the Level I exam.

You’re not going to be calculating ratios, EPS, and so on for the bulk of the questions. You’re going to be demonstrating that you know what all that stuff means, how changing one thing will affect another, and the like.

Thanks,my question is not targeted at the CFA exams but in general,I really dont understand the big deal regarding this ratios.I mean you dont need to be a CPA to know what they mean.People talk of it as if its some highly quantitative topic
