Can someone clarify this?
Do you have to pay the enrollment fee for each level? That would make sense because the enrollment fee of 390 is under the heading Levels I, II, and then it is $465 for III.
But it also says Program Enrollment “New Candidates Only”, leading me to believe that this fee is for new candidates to “enroll” into the next level.
Thanks…
only new candidates have to pay for the fee.

New candidate for each Level?
NO. New candidates for L1 (retakers are exempt, as well as L2 and L3 candidates)
wow… that is confusing. Why would CFAI list an enrollment fee of $390 and $465 for L2 and L3 respectively?
You can’t really be a “new” L2 or L3 candidate.
Beats me…
Thanks
the reason is that if you can’t figure out why, then they don’t want you to sign up.
its fair preparation for their yes/yes and no/no questions.
Its $690 for L2 right now as I recall.
note: just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean that it's not merry.
I think you are confusing membership and registration fees. You become member only once, but register for each level.
do many of you get companies to sponsor/pay for your cfa?

so under what circumstances would one pay the enrollment fees next to the L2 and L3 exam fees?
In order to sit for L1 is it not true that you have to pay the membership fee? How could one even sit for L1 w/o paying this? So it doesn’t make sense that they even mention this fee at L2 and L3 if it truly is a “one time” fee at L1.
