No more Stalla and Peter Olinto?

[original post removed]

Nope, they got bought by Schweser. As for the brand itself, I think it’s finished and Schweser will just incorporate the proprietary stuff Stalla was known for, with a Schweser spin.

So now Schweser will be like a monopoly. We (the students) are the first ones to be affected by this acquisition.

I guess that explains why they didn’t call me back to do Stalla classes last term. I was wondering, because the student evaluations came in higher for me than they had before. (part of me wonders if anyone on here was actually in any of the classes I taught… they usually threw the econ classes at me - the rumor was that Peter O. didn’t like to do them, my guess is because they force you to go through 1.5 semesters of college econ in about 3.5 hours and it’s just impossible to do in any serious way. I was never really able to do it without going over (and when I was a Stalla student, I remmeber that Peter went overtime by about 30 minutes as well))

They had someone else do the econ classes instead of Peter this time as well, though Peter had said that he was “travelling” during that time. I guess it wasn’t you, though, as you said you didn’t do any last term.

Seriously I am very heartbroken by the fact that I now can’t see Peter Olinto’s lecture through Stalla. Does anyone know where he is teaching next? Any chance he will teach Schweser live class perhaps??? Bring Peter Olinto back to CFA lecture world please!!

During the exam I actually recalled what he said about a couple things relevant to the questions, which actually helped me catch a couple tricky ones. He’s definitely a great teacher and has an energetic way of teaching that you really remember.

I am going to miss him for sure. He was dynamic…
