Code of Ethics (personal matter)

I am very curious what Code of Ethics says about inviting a client on a date. For example if I am a relationship manager and fell in love with my client and decided to invite her on a date. Would it be a wrong decision? What if she will not accept my proposal and call my superiors and tell them about my behavior? Would it be a misconduct behavior ? Can I be punished for that? No jokes. It’s really bothers me.

lol… I dont think i have ever came across anything like this in the CFA codes of ethics and standard of professonal conduct.

So i dont think this question of your applies.

I dont see any wrongdoing in you falling in love with your client.

I think that you should inform your supervisor. If you enter in a romantic relationship with your client it is only fair that your supervisor checks that you are not treating your love interest better than other clients.

If the client complains, at least your supervisor was warned beforehand
