How to determine (simply) whether a t-test or f-test is significant?
If the absolute value of the test statistic is greater than the absolute value of the ciritcal value, there is sufficient evidence to support rejecting the null hypothesis in favor of the alternative hypothesis.
Just to add to dwheats: this would also imply that the p-value for the test is less than the alpha level.
