Regarding stock dilution

Hi guys,

When a company issues new stocks (eg. rights placement), existing shareholders will be diluted to a larger extent when the maret capitalization of a company is below book value, compared to when the market capitalization is above the book value.

Can anyone explain? Thanks.!
