Does anyone know when the rest of the studyguide for Level II from Wiley Elan be released? Tried asking Wiley directly but they were very unhelpful. Its almost mid December now and the rest of the material is not available yet. So if anyone can tell me when the rest of their stuff will be released I would be very greateful.
So far I am very disappointed with the Wiley’s customer service. Its a shame, since their study material is actually quite great.
I am completely puzzled. Are the Elan Notes available on Vital Source? When I asked Wiley, they said no. Here is the e-mail exchange:
“Thank you - this has been incredibly helpful so far. I have one pending issue though: when opening the dashboard on the ipad, I am unable to read the material offline. Is there a way to see the notes as a pdf or similar to the curriculum on your reader software? Thank you once more & best regards”
And the response that Eileen from Wiley sent back was:
"There is no offline material for any of the CFA products. They are all online.
Thanks,

Is this true? Does anyone have Vitalsource access?
Elan’s customer service has gotten better since moving to Wiley…but they still baffle me sometimes. All of the sudden I have to pay $120 USD to get the 11th hour guide shipped to me in Canada. No thanks. Secret Sauce here I come.
I figured it out eventually and with the help of Vanessa @Wiley. It was in the end a misunderstanding I guess. You can download all of the books; but I had to delete the app on the tablet and reinstall it. Now I have everything on there which is pretty good! No more excuses. Good luck to everyone!
There is no offlien video or practice questions … most test prep students tend to think of “offline” in the context of streaming video so Eileen was refering to that aspect. We’ll be more clear in the future. We may develop an offline video streaming feature … but nothing for June exam and probabably not Dec exam.
Having worked as a shipper receiver for a couple years, I can definitely agree that shipping a single book (even if it was overnight) shouldn’t be anywhere near $100 or more.
Thankfully Amazon had it, so I don’t have to go the secret sauce route. It was almost half the price on Amazon with shipping included!
A better question is when will the website be back up. If it’s down for more than 3 days that’s absolutely horrible, since all your content is online.
Wiley usually is really bad about shipping stuff. So I would recommend if you are really stressing out about the exam to just get the 11th hour from amazon. That way you are guaranteed to get it.
Last year when I was taking level 1 I was sent my 11th hour guide with 30 days left to the exam.
