How to calculate growth multiple?

I’m having an issue calculating a growth multiple.

Lets say you have the following info:

Inflation: 3%

Nominal Market growth: 3.1%

Nominal company growth: 7.9%

Real Market growth: 0.097%

Real company growth: 4.76%

I want to figue out the multiple of how much faster than the market is the company growing in Real terrms? Any tips?

Nominally, 1.079/1.031 − 1 = 4.66%

Really: 1.0476/1.00097 − 1 = 4.66%

I’d wager that the company’s growing about 4.66% faster than the market.

S2000 Magician has done justice.

However, can we also say that the company is growing 2.55x and 49x faster than the market in nominal and real term respectively??

Just thinking out loud.

Subtract any of them.
