2017 CFA L2 curriculum

How much 2017 CFA L2 curriculum has changed this time. Is it ok to refer 2016 CFAI books or need to buy new CFAI books ?

You are required to buy the ebooks or hardcopy CFAI curriculum when you register for the exam.

Beyond that though the changes are clearly listed on the CFAI website. Looks like a fair few changes to Derivatives in particular

I honestly thought I would reuse my books but looks like a lot of changes and honestly for the better!

@Linda_Mushroom, I think you can still use your old books to a large extent. I also noticed that the change in derivatives isn’t so much. Several topics are collapsed under one.

This may be a dumb question but for the books that haven’t had any changes in curriculum from last year like Ethics and Quant, are the books identical as far as the reading and questions? Thanks.
