Anyone out there willing to sell last year’s set of video CDs? I picked the live class option when I ordered my L3 materials but I really enjoyed having these for L2. I know they will be a little dated but I’m just looking for something to get me started.

Who said studying can’t be fun? Now there’s a complete study solution for all 3 CFA levels that’s as mobile, smart, and competitive as you are.

has someone helped you already? if not, i’ll just give you mine for free, they are just sitting here and i know i’ll never watch them. (i think i thought at some point that i might get nostalgic one day and watch them. i now know that to be impossible.) they are like new. i think i tried to do one session last year and never really stuck with it. shoot me an email at johnsline@gmail if you want ‘em.

You are an extremely nice guy sf, I scored over $200 for mine on eBay at the end of August.

sf is a baller. He has no need for an extra 200.

i hear there’s a lot of that horrible brit guy who was on the L2 videos on L3 as well. i’m so dreading watching him as he is the first brit i had a hard time understanding or staying attentive for.

that said, i’m in the mkt for those vids too. lets get schwesed!!

I have the 2008 ones if interested….I used them for 2009 and they worked out fine.

The Brit guy that did FSA at Level II (in 2008) made no appearance at Level III and neither did the husky lady that tackled Econ at Level II (in 2008).

oh …. I liked that brit guy very much! but wasn’t he australian? And I didn’t think the econ woman was bad at all, she tried her best to make it fun.

Hey cfasf1, thanks for the generous offer! I actually found someone at work that had a set but I really appreciate it… I am sure someone else around here could use them (niraj??).

sent you an email sf…you rock!

thank god that guy is not on L3. i did like the big econ lady actually.

Cfaboston, are you interested? I am visiting Boston next week (well, for less than 24 hours but still) so I could hand you my set of CD’s.

Are the video CDs a better option than the online option ?

Thanks Mcpass. I am interested in video lectures but I moved to NYC last month so I am now cfanewyork28.

Are you still in Argentina or moved back to Amsterdam? Let me know if you are coming to NYC anytime soon. Beers will be on me.

same but CDs give you flexibility.

readytopass's picture

How so? I thought the online would be more flexible since you can access them from anywhere without lugging around cds…

I believe online is like every Tuesday night. Not sure

Aimee's picture

The online class is archived, so you can access it later if you don’t want to participate live. I like both, but the CDs are a little more in depth and cover more ground. The online class is nice because you have structure and it keeps you on schedule, but they can move through things kind of fast since everything has to fit in three hours. Not to mention the instructor usually has to field questions from the peanut gallery, which eats up time too.

readytopass's picture

I’m not talking about the Online class versus Video option. I’m talking about within the Video option, online or cds…

I will be in NYC the day before… but arriving at LaGuardia at 22.50 and leaving by train again at 4pm on Wednesday with a meeting in the morning.

So… quite difficult to fix that I guess. Do you live in Manhattan?

No problemo. How is life going after CFA?

cfasf1's picture

life is pretty good. busy, but i guess that means i’m still employed. it’s nice to get reaquainted with my wife and 2 year old daughter. she no longer thinks i’m just some dude who comes home just to crash at night. see above that you relocated.. new job, probably? hope all’s well and good luck on this test.. you will pass it.
