Am I the only one who got tripped, looking for Benchmark weights in the question?
For the response, the answer appears to be pretty straightforward compared to what is in the Sch text. Currency return and Market return appear to be a lot simpler and different from whats in Schweser.
I had all the formulas memorized based on sch text, the answer provided for this question is very different.
Darn, boy, you got brain. Last year I almost burned by trying to memorize these stuff.
I was working off the 2008 Sch text, found the explanation in the 2009 Sch text.
There are very subtle differences in formulae based on if the question is providing BM figures or no BM.
Now, I got a few more to memorize.

it seems that cfai tried to confuse u by giving the weighted return, but not giving the benchmark weight?
it is different from the schweser formulas so am worried…
which 2007 exam? CFAI sample? which version? thanks

Same here. I was able to muddle through most of it, but wasn’t even close on market selection.
