How to unique identify securities (using ISIN)?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows what’s the uniform method in the industry to identify securities using identifers or attributes? I know that ISIN is issued for all security, but it is not unique as in different issues of a company’s stocks all share the same ISIN. I was wondering if there’s a truly unique way to uniquely identify a security based on ISIN? For example ISIN+currency+exchange?
