Northeast distance runners - Ragnar Relay!

OH HEY Y’ALLS.

Last year, I did a a long-distance relay race from New Haven to Boston, part of the Ragnar Relay Series. Myself and 11 other people formed a team. At any given time, one of us was running, and between the 12 of us we covered the 200+ miles in about 36 hours.

It’s an awesome atmosphere - these are extremely well-organized races with hundreds of participants - and the whole thing kinda feels like an epic adventure. At any given moment, one half of your team is running (1 runner, 5 people in a van leapfrogging them, supporting them with water, etc) and the other half of your team is getting some food and sleep and getting ready for their shift. The course last year was about 200 miles, so each participant did three legs of between 5-7 miles.

This year, we’re doing the Ragnar Cape Cod race. We’ve got probably 8 people confirmed, but we’re aiming for 12 again. Race starts May 11th in Plymouth, MA, and ends on May 12th in Provincetown. If this sounds up your alley, let me know.
