Anyone watch it?
Got a chance to catch the 9pm show last night and I was somewhat disappointed.
A decent movie on its own, but compared to TDK it fails to impress. Both Batman and Bane are incomprehensible in the movie. Can barely understand what they say. Without spoiling anything, if you decide to watch it I suggest you guys lower your expectations a bit.
Story is alright, a bit confusing at times. Special effects were pretty generic.
Oh and do not go if you are tired. The first 45mins are a snoozefest
You should have said “spoilers” in the title then we could just talk about it. Anyway, of the Nolan versions I’d go 2, 3, 1 with all of them being pretty awesome. Hard to beat Ledger’s Joker though.
I was fine with the slower pace, but I do agree it was hard to understand what they were saying at times.
Just found out there was an after credits scene? Pissed I missed it if that’s true.

Bane isn’t the main villian and JGL is Robin
I actually liked the twist with Bane at the end. He instantly became humanized and somewhat likeable (for me at least, my girlfriend hated him, I liked him). I love the part right at the end where he’s standing over Batman with a gun and that b*tch says “I want you to suffer and die feeling the heat of 12 millions souls, knowing you failed them” and as soon as she leaves Bane goes, “We both know I’m going to have to kill you, you’re just going to have to imagine the heat” and gets ready to shoot him.
I used to smoke pot and go to class.

That was one of the funniest parts in the movie.
Followed by one of the dumbest villian death scenes I have ever seen in a super hero movie. Cat woman comes in and blows him up?
Also I wasn’t much of a comic guy so haven’t read any batman books but was catwoman supposed to be a petty thief in ‘real’ life?
You mean was Catwoman a thief in the comics? She was pretty morally ambiguous and often was a thief in the early comics. I thought Anne Hathaway did a good job. As for her origin, she was portrayed as originally a prostitute in Year one, but other comics have different origins.
I was really surprised when they revealed Talia. The Talia character in the comics always loved Wayne and was willing to defy her father somewhat for him. I don’t think the character from the comic would have destroyed Gotham and him for revenge. She also fathered Damian Wayne, the greatest Robin ever. So her portrayal was less like the comic.
Cat burgler is a petty thief?
Really pretty disappointing. I thought to watch atleast a good action but those were subpar. Nothing extra which we have n’t seen before. Subtitles helped otherwise it wud have difficult to make out what Bane & Batman at times saying. I didn’t notice any english movie with english subtitles in indian cinemas before this unless the movie is shown on Star movies/HBO etc. Twist about Talia thing didn’t excite me either. I think it would have better to go for Ice Age 4 but since its soon gonna be premiered on Star Movies I guess any hindi movie would have a better entertainment when there are only 6 days to go for results. ;)

You just can’t beat Heath Ledger’s Joker, but I really liked Bane (Bain?) as the villain in this movie.
I enjoyed the time they took to develop the plot, and the opening scene was freakin’ sweet.
Yep 2, 3, 1 it is for me too. I really liked the movie. I dont think anyone can compare to the Joker, but it was still a good movie. Several twists from the comics, which i found entertaining. Loved the ending. you think he’ll make any movies with Robin?
stupid movie, i would require you to pay me to watch it again….walked out before the movie ended……

Ironically after watching this I realized that had Ledger not OD’ed before the release of TDK I would’ve probably felt the same way about that one as well. Everytime its on TV, I can barely get through 10mins of it before flipping the channel
there were a few cool scenes like when bane was blowing up the city, but that was about it……….the scenes were drawn out and boring…….that movie should have been maybe 1.5 hours at most…..
