And HCB isssss  ….. high class broad?

But I’m with Frank, they automatically get notched up in my book due to giving the aura of being smart… but maybe it’s an elaborate ploy to get us to think that?  In which case maybe they’re a different kind of smart.

Also I doubt they are worrying about looking good the morning of the exam.  And I can’t say I’ve had the same experience anyway.  I took the first two levels in DC and Charlotte respectively, and found that, although there was a minimal ratio of women, the ugly to cute ratio did not seem too out of whack.  Maybe that’s due to my above bias, who knows.

Ha, so you boys create a post about wanting to meet girls, one posts in your back office man cave, and you ban her? Maybe the problem here isn’t the lack of ladies, but your approach? :)

I could be wrong, but I thought my post was a joke. You’ll need a better sense of humor on these forums.

Otherwise you’ll start thinking Frank is stalking Kim and Kourtney.

Cities teem with evil and decay, let’s give it a good shake and see what falls out!!

Ouch, Palantir. I’m new here, play nice!

I could be wrong, but I was joking too. Boys don’t have a monopoly on humor, my friend ;)

(offended by the fact you ASUME i’m from Eastern Europe :)))

Yes they go in engineering and science, actually in finance i would say there are more women than men. Anyway i was not talking about the statistical part of the statement but the attitude.

^ I remember my first internet

I used to smoke pot and go to class.

Sneak in ten minutes late with a bullsh*t excuse.

Slink down low at my desk.

Pray to god nobody asked me any questions.

I was the best teacher ever.

I banged a hot charter holder but she was a total career girl.  Not someone you’d want to be married to nor to raise your kids.

I think it would be a waste of time dating a charter holder.  When I explain finance stuff to chicks they love it.  They think that I am so smart.  Little do they know I’m just regurgitating schweser.

Id much rather a girl study things like nude yoga, massage therapy, or lesbian threesomes.  A girl that has mastered those subjects gets my gold standard for HCBs.

Tim Berners-Lee was the guy…. and I didn’t even have to look it up.

I do remember playing with the Mosaic browser in early 1994 when it hit me:  ”This thing is totally going to change the way the ENTIRE WORLD WORKS.” It was one truly mind-blowing moment.

The problem is that I had never encountered anything quite as transformative as that, and so although I knew it was big, even then, I realize that it was a change that is orders of magnitude larger than anything I could have concieved of, even then.

I don’t think I have ever quite experienced something that big in terms of technological possibility.  Downloading one’s consciousness into a new body might be the only thing I can imagine that is on par (with the creative possibilities, there’s lots of stuff that can have huge destructive impacts).

You want a quote?  Haven’t I written enough already???

bchad gets a cookie for the correct answer.

I agree with you on transformative tech…most things today are evolutionary rather than revolutionary

That would be nice. I would download my consciousness to a Darth Vader body. I could say: “Your money is all gone; there’s nothing to do about that.” [insert Darth Vader music here]

Morning of the exam I could not care less what I looked like. Getting my nails done/doing laundry/shampooing my hair all come at high opportunity costs.  And I still pick up at exams :)

It seems like we would never be able to determine whether a download of consciousness would actually work. If you copied your memories into a new body and killed your old body, the new body would still think that it was the old body. How would you ever know that your consciouness has been transferred, and that it’s not just a copy of your old consciousness?

“I’m a CPA! I got money b***h!”

wasn’t this exactly like the plot of The Prestige.  hugh jackson has to kill his clone to perform the magic trick

Hope. It is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength, and greatest weakness.

Did anyone ever see this during the study months and wish it was a casual date forum for CFA candidates?  Based on my experiences at the test centers and on here, I get the sense that the number of guys in the program far exceeds the number of girls, but controlling for that could you see an OKCupid-like site dedicated to CFA candidates (and others studying for an intense test) being successful?  I was lucky enough to be able to hang with a few girls during the study months but I had devolved into such a stressed-out, pale, skinny, Gollum-like creature that it couldn’t have been fun for them.  I’m just thinking it would have been a nice, potentially very convenient stress reliever to be able to find someone in the same situation and just have something casual.  Study together, sleep together, pass together?

I would definitely be interested in this type of arraingement and I remember seeing some very attractive women at the test centre last time but I think the market is inefficient and the gender balance is not in my favour.
