As long as we are in the midst of MBA focused discussion, anybody have an opinion on executive MBAs? Basically, seems like a way to put an impressive school on your resume while having your company pay for the tuition and continuing to work and garner wages. Sounds like a win to me.
In terms of which programs I would be interested in, it seems that since the principal purpose of an executive MBA is prestige I should just go for the programs with the most recognizable names. Anyone have an opinion or maybe even have an executive MBA? I know a couple of people that did Columbia’s program and it seemed to work well for them, especially with regard to giving them cred for management positions. I would probably look at Columbia and Penn since I don’t live in Boston or out West.
