"Revenge Porn" is apparently legal outside of CA and NJ?

http://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/03/tech/web/revenge-porn-law-california/index.html

“California is only the second state to have a law that addresses revenge porn. New Jersey has had a related law since 2003 that makes it a felony to post secretly recorded videos or photos online.”

Apparently, other states think revenge porn is part of first amendment rights. In addition, in California at least:

“(The law) only applies when the person accused of spreading the images online is also the photographer. It does not cover photos a person takes of themselves and shares with a lover, say during a sexting session.”

Take note for future use.

I’m not sure how you didn’t know this.

bah, usually only happens when some girl f***s some bro over.

should be annulled if court finds the chick banged bro’s best friend

if it’s some dude who can’t handle he’s not alpha enough to keep her, send him to the gallows

Is there something you are worried about, my friend?

“Once you open the floodgates, you can’t tell the water where to go.” --Thomas Sowell

He was talking about Obamacare at the time. But equally true with picture-taking.

So hypothetically speaking of course, if the photographer took the pics in CA and released the photos in NV I wonder if this is legal?

Also let’s say a couple from CA is on vacation in another state or country, takes pics, and then the photograper releases the photos when he gets back to CA? I wonder if this is legal? I need to understand this law to protect myself in case I ever need to release the Kraken on some bish.

LOL, kraken.,… I’d assume it’s tied to geographic position, like if you’re in new hampshire, you don’t have to wear a seatbelt, but if you’re from new hampshire and in another state who has seatbelt laws, you must wear a seatbelt.

so, I assume you have to release it from a server in CA, but I aint no lah-yer

Every state likes to exert their power to the largest extent possible, so I’m guessing that CA would pursue charges if there is any connection to CA whatsoever.

Can I film in NV, but make a set and pretend it’s in California for the shoot?
