What is Grade A property?

Could anyone please tell me what is a Grade A Property when it comes to real estate? Just the basic conditions for distinction in general. With regard to properties in India in context of REITs could you please tell me what is a Grade A property. I do require it very urgently.

Thanks in advance.

A: Newly built properties in the nicest areas. B: Slightly older property, but still nice. Might be not quite as nice of an area. C: Older properties. Likely really could use some work. Not the best areas. For investors, these are really the bread and butter for rentals. D: Run down properties in bad areas.

it’s interesting though, there are class A properties that are old and would be considered class B or C except that they are in a highly desirable location that is severely supply constrained. i’ve seen buildings that would be a scrape anywhere else, except that they’re in the right location and can’t be replicated so they get class A pricing.

It’s like porn, you can’t define it but you know it when you see it.
