I’d like to see a Broncos/Packers SB with Peyton retiring on top.
AFC - home team wins every game (edit - except Indy)
NFC - Arizona wins today, then loses to Seattle. Dallas beats Detroit, beats Green Bay, then beats Seattle.
Ultimately, America’s Team takes home the Lombardi.
After watching Andrew Luck in a little more detail this year, I felt as though this was as good a year as any for the torch to be passed. The Colts have simply slipped under the radar and entering the playoffs all I heard about was how the Bengals dismantled the Broncos two weeks ago. They shut Cincinnati out earlier in the season. The Colts defense came up big. They lost to Denver by 7 earlier in the season, Luck threw for almost 400 yards but also had 2 ints. All the pressure is on Denver…when that happens they fall apart…look at the Baltimore game two years ago.
^ I mentioned in a thread a month ago that Luck is now among the 5 best QBs in the league. With Brady, Brees and Manning retiring in the next 2-3 years, Luck will be the best after Rodgers.
^Not to mention Romo, Rivers, and Roethlisberger. Romo turns 35 in April, Rivers just turned 33, and Roethlisberger will turn 33 in March. I know they’re not in the “best QB ever” conversation, but they’re all nearer to the end than the beginning, and they’ll all be a big loss when they go.
Updated bracket (for all you hacksawed losers who only pick one game right):
AFC:
Indianapolis @ Denver
Baltimore @ New England
NFC:
Dallas @ Green Bay
Carolina @ Seattle
Yes, the Packers will win it all.
Ehh, I got both NFC games right, which is all that matters. Who watches AFC football? The standard of play is lower and it’s just a competition to see who will lose to the NFC in February.
AFC:
Indianapolis @ Denver Denver
Baltimore @ New England New England
NFC:
Dallas @ Green Bay Green Bay
Carolina @ Seattle Seattle
@Bro - I was actually digging myself. The only game I picked correctly was the Dallas-Detroit game.
Anyway, I like your picks, except I’ll take my Cowboys over Green Bay. Lambeau ain’t as special as it used to be.
Cowboys / Packers will be the best game of the weekend IMO, looking forward to it regardless of who wins.
^^ Lambeau is special this year. See A Rod’s stats at home this year. Best QB in history at home this year. Good thing for the Boys is that they are also good on the road this year.
I was 3/4 but lost my SB pick. Indy is a good matchup for Denver and I bet Denver is glad they aren’t facing the Steelers or Ravens.
