I’ve had vodka mixed with honey, but have never had true mead.

I went to a holiday party once in 2005 that was medieval-inspired. The hosts served mead, along with some other themed nonsense. Looking back on it, that was some serious hipster bullshit, which was weird because that timeframe was decidedly pre-hipster.
