Sounds like a money grab. Although, the guy seems so sketchy that he might have done it. The Glassdoor for JS Barkat PLLC is hilarious. Half the reviews are one star and the other half (presumably written by himself) are five stars with Kim Jung Il levels of CEO worship. He even replied to some of the one star reviews and threatened them.

Money grab is just as likely as that guy being a total scum bag at this point. He seems like a tool/bro lawyer, which I assume is cool if you are a legal intern in your early/mid 20’s
