sadly agreed. I can totally agree with the need to surround yourself with hotties at work.
People tend to underestimate looks. Taking care of your appearance is worth more than the 3rd and 4th designation you’re chasing after.
I dunno, there was that fat indian HF guy with links to Citi that went to prison for insider trading. Raj-something or other. He certainly did not look after his appearance. Overall I agree though, going to the gym and having a decent haircut count for a lot.
^ He had to be that much better than his competition. At equal competence, he wouldn’t have gotten it.
In general, the importance of looks applies more to females than males.
