CFA Average Salary

The geographical differences in pay in the US is amazing, so much more than anywhere else I’m familiar with.

I never liked average as a measurement tool, especially in an industry like finance. Always preferred median.

We have heterogenity not only according to job roles, but also to regional differences, employer size, point in time of salary negotiation, just to mention a few. As a PM I think I´d double my salary when working e.g. in Frankfurt, but cost of living is there higher too.

I am astounded that magician hasn’t responded to this…

very true. if they were strict on the work experience requirement the average salary would go up but their revenue would go down.

It is quite high, but the US its not like canada where virtually everybody in professional jobs lives in under 10 cities. Also a gigantic country with vastly different COL across cities, more so IMO than Canada which I think is expensive on the whole.
