MBA + CFA = Better Money Managers?

I am still paying my dues…I am portfolio analyst at a small investment advisory shop that manages just over $1B. I used to be a broker at one of the major wirehouse firms and worked as a business analyst for the same firm for a while. I have completed a MSF and am waiting for my LIII CFA scores. I recommend against ever falling into the temptation of working as a broker or a financial sales person to individual investors unless you can join a well established team. It is a hard road based on screwing your clients to earn commissions and fees.

I would say that your undergrad in business is enough to get your foot in the door. If you pass Level I it may demonstrate you ambition and basic knowledge of finance.

Excellent One Man!
