They usually send out emails to those who have failed first because then they can get money faster from those people who are re-registering.
It’s common knowledge that passing results are sent out at even number times, whereas if you receive your result at an odd number time, you’ve failed.
This is completely BS!!! Passing emails are sent based on Fibonacci numbers.

I failed last year and I received the e-mail at 10am. When I passed Level I I received the e-mail at like 1:30pm. I don’t think there’s a rhyme or reason to the release of the results. “Congratulations” and “We regret to inform you” are the two beginning statements to be worried about lol.
CFAI really should just skip the niceties and send out a text message-- “Congrats” or “Regrets”, and refer the failures to the CFAI website to get their matrix.

If you don’t get it by 945am that means you are subject to a PCP investigation and they will run a similarity analysis, which will most likely result in a 2 year ban and you (hopefully) deciding to quit the CFA program forever.
