Ah yes…now that is a brilliant line. It was always chilling to me, with that black-and-white footage of Oppenheimer calmly and philosophically describing what he perceived as the potential dawning of the end of days:

Sparked the biggest arms race in history too. Russia, China, France, England and finally India, Pakistan and Israel. I suspect soon Iran will join the list too. They have the skilled labor required and the mentality ‘Our people may eat dirt but we will have the bomb’
Whether it serves to be the most effective war deterrent or the end of our days remains to be seen. Chilling was a very apt word.
