"World Pole Dancing Championship Dominated By Russians, Ukrainians"

I went on a few dates with a Russian girl in college. She was originally from Chernobyl and her parents were retired nuclear scientists.

Other than that I’ve only had experiences with Russians whilst on holidays. I always found them to be a bit glacial. It’s weird, like their default expression when they meet someone is to think you are trying to screw them. I never understood what’s behind this attitude. Then again, why are others (i.e. American, Australian) generally friendly when they meet someone they don’t know?
