So what do you think about the controversy regarding the leak of classified documents on wikileaks? Is this freedom of information for the citizen to know the real reality of war or is this a threat to national security? Where should the line be drawn? BTW has anyone downloaded the google earth version of the 91000 afghan war documents? Pretty awesome…
I don’t know what the line is, but there certainly has to be a line. I haven’t ventured to read the 91,000 pages released, but I do understand that some of the documents named Afghan citizens who were/are acting as informants. If true, Wikileak has clearly stepped over that line. Not only will the release cost those people their lives, it will undoubtedly cost the lives of soldiers who would have benefitted from future information that would have provided.
