Rent is 2 Damn High!

Jimmy McMillan for President – hilarious guy! If anyone didn’t watch yesterday’s NY governor debate – or comedy central’s latest show – below is the link. http://www.vosizneias.com/66460/2010/10/19/new-york-all-7-ny-governor-candidates-in-1st-debate-full-video-replay

I found a very short clip of Jimmy McMillan from the debate – hilarious http://news.yahoo.com/video/politics-15749652/jimmy-mcmillan-shakes-up-n-y-debate-22523746;_ylt=AjOAQ1_fEpm8ryq6om_lKtiz174F;_ylu=X3oDMTE3NHNma2tlBHBvcwMzBHNlYwNtb3N0LXBvcHVsYXIEc2xrA2ppbW15bWNtaWxsYQ

On the one hand, I think McMillan’s hilarious. I couldn’t breathe when he said, “As a karate expert, I refuse to talk about anyone up here.” On the other hand, I’m totally disappointed in the quality of candidates we’ve got in a gubernatorial race, as well as the format we picked for this debate. We’ve got a dazzling array of people who are hilarious to watch, but some are wildly unqualified or horrifically fringe. Maybe it’s because I’m in my twenties and still maintain a little idealism about the electoral process, but I wish that there was a better field of candidates.

The fact the whoever wins will have to inherit a nightmare of a deficit, a deficit that will keep growing for atleast a few years, is probably keeping savvy candidate at bay – political career trumps doing good for the nation. So, the poor quality of candidates should not really be surprizing – it’s business as usual, buddy.
