With 9.0% employment (true number is probably closer to 15% when considering part-timers, etc.), now we have tens of thousands of people complaining that they actually have to go to work! I realize that most people would choose to not work and be home with their families on major holidays if they can swing it, but when someone works in a particular industry like retail that requires working more/later hours closer to year end, do they have a right to complain? I think accounting professionals should stage a protest on April 15th. After all, they chose to be an accountant, but the evil IRS selected that day as the final due date.
Well, everyone has things that they like or dislike about their jobs. However, lately, it seems like every person who has a problem tries to pull off the next Arab Spring by starting some kind of social media petition. They certainly have a *right* to complain. Whether or not it’s productive is another matter.
Don’t some employment contracts have a gruntlecy requirement? Something like “If employee becomes disgruntled, all our obligations under this contract become null and void, notwithstanding the survivorship of employee obligations to us.”
Americans need to reclaim their life. It is great that a few workers at Target are doing something. But really you need the entire country waking up and demanding 8weeks vacation, etc. The environment in the USA is corporations > humans. Shockingly that doesn’t work out so well for the humans.
