Will CAIA be beneficial when I graduate my master?

Hey guys, I currently have a BCs in Finance (4.0gpa), 1 year of trading/analyst experience, and I will be starting my Business Administration Master with focus on Financial Economics in August this fall. I do now have a little bit of free time, i.e. I will be studying full time until my master starts.

I have decided I want to do the CFA level in june, but I am aslo considering completing the CAIA level 1 and 2 in march/sept. My plan after I graduate is to get a decent job within finance / investing in Norway. Will it worth the money for me do to the CAIA at this stage in my career? Will the CAIA make me more likely to land a good job after my master graduation?

Focus on the CFA.

Check the job postings in your area and see if any require the CAIA. I highly doubt it.

I hope I didn’t scar you

Maybe in Norway. In Canada, no… unless you want to do Sales/Marketing.

In Canada, everyone from hedge funds to pension plans, respect the CFA… stay focussed on the CFA.
