Hi all,

I have decided to sit for CAIA fall 18 but i am a bit worried for the Ethics section…

is it accurate that we need to read the handbook of CFA? https://caia.org/sites/default/files/Standards_of_Practice_Handbook_md.pdf

this is 300 pages of pure theory and i am not the best in memorizing! any help or tip?

Hi Hector,

You should understand the concepts first, and then being able to give examples for each topic, including what kind of procedure should be implemented behind. For L1 you need at least to know the big picture, but for L2, you should dig in everything, since you don’t know what will be asked in the essay part.

I think using education provider books and memorize some ethics example and counter examples will help you better if you use other books provider , memorizing and writing on the paper and bold letter will get you through exam 1 for sure.
