Should I pursue CAIA after CFA? Any CFA charterholders who have completed CAIA as well? Any value add?

HI Everyone,

Just wanted to know if CAIA is a good value add after CFA. I completed my CFA exams in June 2017. Still working towards to the experience criteria. I am working as an analyst in a Family PE firm. Since we are family office structure, we dont have enough deals, but we work on 1-2 deals a year. I wanted to develop my academics on the side to make my career progression better. Do you guys think CAIA will add anything on this?

Apart from this, anyone has a concise topic sheet for CAIA level 1 that they can share. Just wanted to know how much of topics is covered in CFA? And is CAIA as tough as CFA?

Thanks.

Once you get your CFA charter, you can skip CAIA level 1.

Beside the fact that my business card looks nicer with CFA, CAIA, no other value add.
