I first heard of the CQF (cert in quantitative finance) a few years ago but don’t think I have ever come across anyone who has done it? Itcosts about £11k so I don’t think it’s for me. Is anyone looking at giving it a go? Do you think it can add much value to your cv?
^ I’m in NY and completed the CQF. If you come from a strong maths background, you will find the workload moderately intensive; if not, well, have fun…don’t expect to do anything for 8-9 months (yes, that’s correct, it’s actually longer than the posted 6 month tutorials/class sessions). The course is very interesting but the real value is from the continual life long learning which keeps uploading.
Hi Keys, thanks for your insight- I have a maths degree and am always trying to find mathematical things to do. It sounds like a really big commitment so thanks for the warning. Hopefully I’ll give it a go one day!
