CAIA Foundations

Hi Guys,

I’m just about to start studying for the CAIA level 1 which i’ll take in September. Currently just going through some of the foundations in the CFA ‘Quantitative Investment Analysis’ book. From past expeirience, does anyone know if there are certain chapters that are imperative to know in preparation for the CAIA level 1 study, and maybe chapters that aren’t so essential?

Many Thanks,

Chris

i never looked at the “foundations/prereq” material but an understanding of distribution properties is important… (skewness/kurtois).

you also need to know TVM (present/future value) calculations either directly or indirectly to pass lvl1.

thanks for the pointers
