1,500 entry positions is a lot. I vaguely recall the Goldman analyst class was 800 ? and that was for 2006 hiring.

Well, Barclays is not just an investment bank. They are like the biggest bank in the UK. There were probably 1,500 openings in the investment bank and in other divisions, not just in the investment bank.
