Viral Job App from Overeager Candidate

You guys see this piece yet? It makes me wonder if any of my applications ever got passed around for the wrong reasons. In my opinion, it’s totally inappropriate for a grown man to be encouraging this type of behaviour - shame on him.

While the letter is hilarious, it was unprofessional of the JP Morgan person to forward it to everyone on the internet. That kid probably learned a valuable lesson about the douche bags that he would have worked with in investment banking.

His full name isn’t published, and the incident will probably be forgotten.

The only big names that live on are: Alexsey Vayner for the video resume and total plagarism, and Jeffrey Chiang who faked an offer letter from BofA and spelled “America” wrong.

Probably not smart to mess with someone who can bench press twice their body wieght and do 35 pull ups…

the guy put JPM in one line and MS in another.

epic. fail.

Nah, they scanned his actual cover letter and posted it online. His name is exposed.

Oh I guess some sites did post his name… the major news sites like yahoo and msn blacked it out. I think even dealbreaker blacked it out (something they usually don’t do)

I remember perusing some other finance forum and seeing that Jeffrey Chiang is gainfully employed in finance - blackrock or blackstone? Something like that… can anyone confirm?

^ wow that would be very surprising. Usually companies don’t forgive something huge like that
