Taleo and other HR recruitment software

Hi,

Any of you familiar with Taleo or similar systems? Let’s say a job requirements is 2 years of experience but I only got 1, is the system going to automatically discard me because I clicked on 1 year of experience?

I updated my CV with keywords under area of expertise in hope that I can bypass the filter, but I am wondering if this is a wasted effort since the system can possibly reject me just because I clicked on 1 year of experience.

What do you think?

if you click 2 years of experience and the recruiter read your resume and see 1, she will throw your resume out anyway.

I know in certain software systems like ITRIS you can put in filters so applicants can only be accepted if they meet certain criteria.

Given the massive pool of job candidates, yes you will probably get auto-rejected without any human reading your resume. If you lie to the system, you’ll get thrown out anyway during the human scan.

Just put down the truth.
