Hi Chaps,
I’m going for an interview at a PE secondaries firm i.e Fund of Funds as an associate. AUM is typically $20bn +.
The role will involve:
Due dilligence on funds
Investment reports
monitoring of existing investments
participate in sourcing potential funds
What salary should I go in asking for? I’ve 5 years finance experience, 2 years fund research, CFA L1 candidate. The job is based in London
What are your expectations?

haha…
Its the secondaries market so i’m not expecting too much. £50k pa potentially.
how did the interview go? were you from an investment consulting background? i’m curious whether they mentioned comp at all at this stage. my guess is GBP50k sounds fair before bonus.
Agreed - £50k is what i had in mind.
Make sure you work in some CFA benefits (payment/bonus and eventually dues).
