Can anyone recommend good recruiters in the San Francisco Bay Area? I work at a hedge fund out East but I grew up in SF and would like to move back.
Along those lines, how is the job market in the city?
You’re best off going through your own networks. Headhunters haven’t been too helpful when it comes to the hedge fund space based on what I’ve seen, but you can try SearchOne, Glocap or Dynamics Associates. Also might try the “JOBS” function on Bloomberg.
That said, given what I’ve seen in terms of hedge fund hiring and having gone through the interviewing process myself lately, you’re seriously best off starting sooner rather than later…sometimes these hiring processes can move very sloooooooowly
