I am currently working for one of the best asset managers in the world, the company gives really good benefits and salary is good. The role itself, though, frustrated me as it’s a etf product specialist position which I really have no experience in (previously I was an investment analyst with another large European corporation and it happened that my skills matched this job so I got an offer with the company now)
recently I have receive a offer as a senior associate for a newly founded multi-family office locally. I’ve got a mild (15%) salary increase. I think I will enjoy this role a lot . However, I am really not sure that if I should take this offer or stay with my current company because I’ve gotten advice from friends that I should stay with a large corporations and get more exposure than going to small companies. In terms of company benefits my current company will have much better employee benefits and probably better bonus than the small company.
so I would like to ask you guys… How would you choose if you were me? Would you just suck it up and work for large corporation for like 2-3 years or would u go for a role that u are more passionate about?
