Been a long time since I posted anything.
Just started a Summer internship at a bank in an FX sales desk \liasing between institutional clients and traders. I am required to be working on an assigned project that I can work on for the 6 weeks while shadowing this desk and present the final project.
I have limited VBA/Macro and programing skills. My desk team is very busy everyday and may not have time to assign me any large project.
My strengths are more towards equity research and sales, less towards excel modelling and programming.
I am leaning towards just utilizing my strengths: doing research on major G10 currencies and macro economics in those countries, and pitch trading strategies involving forwards as well as options.
What other options do I have? what could I possibly work on to impress the boss?
