Hello,
i would like to ask you who have the knowledge/experience as being an appraiser. My personal career goal is to become a money manager. I have prior work/investing experience in equity market before i moved to pursue master’s degree and i just wrote cfa level 1 exam 21 days ago.
My question is, is it wise to enter the industry by joining as an appraiser? initially i aimed for either equity research analyst (sell side) or a direct investment analyst job (buyside). How does the career path look like when you choose to become an appraiser, because i see a particular appraisal firm website and they have charterholders as their director/MD and the work seems very much related to private equity,M&A, valuation, etc.
