Im 22 and graduated last year. I got placed during my final year and have been working since than (1.5 years). I gave my level 1 in Dec. Im fed up of my current work and desperate to change jobs. I want to get into asset management/equity research in the long run and probably get an MBA down the line. However before getting my MBA I want to accumalate good quality work experience. I just dont know how to start. I will soon apply on job portals and all but I read in this forum that networking is more effective and usefull. I have Linkedin account., but I personally feel that its not very usefull How would you network when- 1. you dont have local CFA Societies in you city/country. 2. Past College alumni is not an option because 98% of your alumni is unemployed/pursuing higher studies. 3. Work in a 6 employee company., so contacting previous employees does not have much scope.
